Selective Licensing Assistant

This exciting post will work in the Selective Licensing team within Middlesbrough Council and provide a central role in helping deliver the Selective Landlord Licensing Schemes in designated areas of Middlesbrough.
The Successful Applicant Will
Be familiar with undertaking technical and administrative activities to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
Have some knowledge of the principles of Selective Landlord Licensing.
Have experience of business administration, including logging receipt of customer documents, and payments.
Be familiar with issues affecting particular areas of Middlesbrough, such as those where there is a high amount of private rented sector, particularly where there is a high prevalence of social and economic issues.
Have good customer service skills, including being able to field comments, compliments, and complaints, and to provide specific details on application progress.
Have experience of working with management information systems, including input of accurate information to ensure proper keeping, and to assist with concise report production.
Be willing to assist with property and area inspections.
Be familiar with, and promote, other activities that can help local residents and stakeholders.
Ensure good relationships with all stakeholders are maintained.
Contribute, where possible, to continual improvement of the scheme.
Be able to work in a busy environment and to tight time scales.
Have good written and verbal communication skills.
Have good IT skills.
Our team offers regular supervision, shared knowledge, support and blended working. The post will offer good training opportunities and strong team identity.
