What You’ll Be Doing

You will work in a team of engineers responsible for developing engineering solutions and concepts for a wide variety of projects including evaluating, selecting and calculating appropriate heavy lifting,transport and offshore operations.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is a full-time permanent position to be based at our office in Thornaby. Frequent international travel will be required as part of this role.

  • Using your expertise to develop best-in-class engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projects
  • Working with both conventional methodologies and developing new approaches
  • Preparing and selecting both existing and renewed engineering statements
  • Developing drawings, calculations, visualizations, manuals, risk assessments and other key documents
  • Ensuring efficient execution that delivers the right results for the customer
  • International travel to project sites to oversee site setup and project execution


What You’ll Need

  • Educated to degree level or above in Marine, Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering (essential)
  • Professional level experience in enineering operation practises and systems, HLT equipment, internal codes and standards
  • English, fluent proficiency verbal and written
  • 1+ years relevant work experience
  • Prepared to work away from home on a project basis
