We are working with a reputable Northwest-based firm which has enjoyed organic growth due to the success of its long-established and successful tax team. With offices across the Northwest, this regional firm is now in a position to grow its mixed tax team and take on a Tax Senior to be based out of their Blackpool office.
Your new role
This Mixed Tax Senior opportunity will involve assisting the tax director and tax manager with their mixed tax client portfolios and will evolve into taking on your own portfolio of personal and corporate clients.
You Will Be Responsible For
Managing queries from HMRC, preparing, reviewing and submitting corporate and personal tax returns whilst gaining experience helping to supervise and mentor the more junior members of the team. There will also be the opportunity to gain experience in advisory work, including research for tax planning, e.g. R&D tax, transactions, capital allowance reviews and HMRC enquiries.
What You'll Need To Succeed
To succeed in this Mixed Tax Senior job, you will be ATT or CTA qualified or be on your ATT-CTA study journey or be qualified by experience, along with the following experience:
In return for this Tax Senior opportunity, you will have the opportunity to work 35 hours over 4 days a week.
A competitive basic salary and benefits are on offer to the successful individual and is dependent on the level of tax experience you have.
Study support is on offer if you are not qualified yet to ATT level.
The opportunity to work with a supportive and collaborative tax team who will enable you to learn, develop and progress.

- At least 1 year's previous tax compliance experience
- Experience of preparing self-assessment tax returns for individuals and partnerships.
- Experience of preparing corporation tax computations and company tax returns
- Vat experience is desirable, although this can be developed within the role.
- A proactive attitude, with great organisation skills to work to agreed timescales
