Business Management and Marketing Assistant (TV) - 13 month Student Industrial Placement

Role Overview

Panasonic is giving you the opportunity to work at the forefront of innovation within Consumer electricals. Panasonic has grown to become one of the largest electronics companies in the world, producing market leading products in home appliances, cameras, TV, surveillance and many more.

You will be joining in a year in which the management and marketing teams will be integral. Panasonic needs your help with the management and marketing processes within several of our Consumer product departments.

How you will become part of the bigger picture....
As part of our team you will provide support in tasks including:

• Keeping track of sales and forecasts, updating weekly reports for major customers and gain an understanding of forecasts and market data.
• Regular communication with different internal departments including Sales, Brand Communications, PR, Finance and Planning to share information on marketing activities.
• You will gain an insight into Business Planning and marketing plans for your year at Panasonic.
• Managing Product Sample Stock - arranging deliveries & collection of stock between other EU countries and UK in order to maintain operating levels.
• Conduct analysis of market activity and summarise your findings by preparing monthly review presentations for the European Central Team.
• Support new product development and marketing campaigns.
• Assist in promotional activities and events.
• Liaise with Brand Communications regarding digital and in-store assets.
• Liaison with market data supplier: GFK/ Future Source/ You Gov, etc.
• Bringing potential new ideas and insight into the team on both the market and product.

What you will bring to the picture....

• Must be a university student with an industrial placement year, where this experience would be beneficial to your course.
• We are looking for candidates who are open minded, self-motivated and creative to bring unique ideas to the Marketing team at Panasonic UK.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills giving you the ability to communicate complex ideas in a comprehensible written and verbal form
• Problem-solving ability that will enable you to develop innovative solutions for any kind of barriers or administrative issues that arise.
• Ability to work independently, as well as within a team environment.
• Good time-management and the ability to prioritise workload in an organised fashion.
• Strong drive to succeed within the corporate environment, always looking for ways to facilitate the growth of Panasonic UK.
• Proactive in the workplace, using initiative to complete tasks without supervision.
• An interest in commercial marketing or consumer electronics will help you to succeed in each category (Audio, Imaging and Beauty/Home Appliances).
• Good knowledge in Excel and Microsoft Office to assist in administrative work.
• Management of responsibilities and ability to take full ownership of daily tasks with a flexible approach.
• Team player and ability to work in harmony with the rest of the group, having a friendly and approachable presence.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
• Modern marketing knowledge – social media.

Salary range: £24,600 per annum

Hybrid working – with the expectation to work from the office a minimum of 2 / 3 days a week
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required
