Graduate Teaching Assistant - POST 16
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £87 - £108 per day
Contract Type: Daily Supply, Long Term

About The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant - POST 16, you will play a crucial role in supporting students aged 16 and above. You will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, provide one-on-one support to students, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

About The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant - POST 16, you will play a crucial role in supporting students aged 16 and above. You will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, provide one-on-one support to students, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and supporting students in their learning.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to understand and complete their coursework.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students in developing effective study skills and strategies.
- Monitor and record students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) as required.
- A recent graduate with a strong academic background.
- Previous experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant - POST 16 or in a similar role is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young adults.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
