Job Description
Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to oversee our Projects Subcontracts function. The role will be on a Staff basis working from either our Reading or Staines office along with hybrid working arrangements. This is an exciting opportunity to grow and manage a large part of our subcontracts work at Wood. This role will act as a conduit between our Commercial, Legal and Supply Chain team.
The preferred partner for delivering digitally enabled capital investments with low carbon solutions.
Wood’s Projects business unit specialises in delivering predictable and consistent results in high complexity projects that include new technology, challenging construction logistics and, or sheer scale. - Liaison with Project Commercial group, together with other Operating Divisions and Affiliate Companies, on matters relating to commercial and contracting policies and terms & conditions
- Recommend to the Manager Procurement and / or Manager Construction Contracts, objectives for the commercial and procedural development of the procurement department and implement any approved developments
- Obtaining appropriate legal counselling on the procurement
- Promoting business standard and practices which are consistent with the Corporate and Supply Chain Code of Conduct
- Ensure that the terms and conditions applied to the purchase orders, services contracts and construction contracts are contractually sound and compatible with head contracts between Wood and its clients
- Assess risk associated with purchase orders, services contracts and construction contracts in the context of head contract liabilities and advise Manager Procurement and Manager Construction Contracts, relevant Project Manager(s) and project assigned procurement staff
- Provide Procurement and Contracts support to the development of proposals for new business as required

Qualifications

- Degree or equivalent in related discipline i.e. engineering, contract law
- Good pre-award contract compilation experience in the Energy industry
- Experience in Pre-FEED, FEED and EPC projects
- Previous Contracts Manager / Senior Contracts Manager / Commercial Manager experience
