Specialist Nurse (RMN), Band 6 - Waterlily Inpatient Prevention Online Programme
Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust
Date: 3 weeks ago
City: Leicester
Contract type: Part time
Job Overview
Waterlily is an intensive online treatment programme for patients with anorexia nervosa, living in the east midlands region. The East Midlands region includes Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire. The online service provides a group programme, Monday to Friday, 8.30am till 4.30pm, involving the delivery of educational and therapeutic groups and meal supervisions. We offer patients the opportunity to restore their weight in the community as an alternative to inpatient care or to receive a more intensive option of outpatient treatment, if struggling to restore weight in the community.
Although the majority of the treatment is delivered online, there is also some face to face work on an individual basis and community support for activities such as home cooking, visits to cafes or for shopping.
We are looking for 2 Mental Health nurses, to support our team with both mental and physical health monitoring, with the aim of ensuring risks are considered and managed in a safe and therapeutic manner. We are looking to appoint one nurse able to support face to face work in Leicestershire and one living/able to work within the Lincolnshire area.
Although the programme is run as one team over the whole East Midlands area, we require staff in each region to work with the community teams, in order to facilitate the face to face work with patients and ensure effective team working and communication. The post holder will also take a lead in facilitating and co-facilitating online groups with the support of other experienced clinicians across the provider collaborative.
We would consider applications for part time and flexible working patterns.
