Join Our Dynamic Team as a Senior Radiographer at Wrexham Maelor Hospital!
We are looking for passionate, driven, and skilled Band 6 Senior Radiographers to join our Radiology Department at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services and contributing to the continuous improvement of patient care.
As a Senior Radiographer, you'll work closely with the Principal Operations Radiographer to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of our radiology services. You will be integral in identifying opportunities for service improvements, leading by example, and helping us maintain the high standards and values upheld by BCUHB.
Main duties of the job
Undertaking delegated line management responsibilities of staff members including personal development and addressing any performance issues
Escalating and advising the Principal Radiographer, Operations of all relevant issues
They contribute to quality and safety meetings as appropriate within their Division
Lead, participate in and present relevant audit
Positive working relationships are established with their counterparts on other sites across BCUHB, sharing knowledge and co-operating on projects
Equipment training programmes are up to date and in place
Staff are trained and signed off as competent in using equipment and in undertaking standard and adapted projections and aware of distraction and immobilisation techniques
Liaison and excellent working relationships with Radiologists, RSMs, Principals and Service Lead Radiographers and other staff within their Division
Liaison and excellent working relationships with key staff outside radiology e.g. Medical Physics, Theatre, ED Managers, SCBU
Liaison with equipment engineers, ensuring that downtime minimises disruption to service
Ensuring that their equipment handover sheets are completed and appropriate QA is undertaken.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
