The Role
This position is well suited for a recent graduate of a scientific or mathematics discipline with 1-2 years post graduation work experience ideally within a data/analytical/scientific role although any experience will be considered. We are looking for something who is intimately familiar with the scientific method, ideally having experience working within laboratory settings, and with good knowledge of mathematics/statistics and IT systems (Microsoft Office).
As a member of the Insight team, you will work across a portfolio of client accounts to deliver our data, insight and experimentation activities and to ensure we deliver a positive commercial impact. You will leverage multiple data platforms and customer insight sources to establish a rich understanding of customer engagement and behaviour in the online channel, identify causes of customer failure and opportunities for improving customer experience. You will deliver our testing and innovation activity through the Good Growth Technology platform and will own the analysis of this activity and validation of commercials impacts generated.
Working alongside our Project Management and Technology teams you will be accountable for the effective application of our analytical, customer insight and technology processes; blending quantitative and qualitative customer data and insights with innovative customer experiences delivered through our technology platform to delight our clients and deliver a return on investment of at least £10 per £1 spent.
This role requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, a deep understanding of mathematics and the scientific method. Previous experience working within digital analytics platforms (GA4, Universal Analytics, Contentsquare etc.) would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided.
Key Accountabilities
Commercial impact: You will be accountable for the impact of our activity, you will combine performance analytics, customer insight and experimentation to deliver a commercial impact across a portfolio of client accounts.
Data analytics: You will ensure the quality of our analytical activities, ensuring that our analyses are accurate and clearly communicated to client teams and stakeholders. You will deliver analytical activities across a range client engagements and data platforms (GA, Adobe etc.), extracting and processing data from these platforms and will leverage a range of analytical and visualisation solutions to meet the requirements of our client engagements.
Customer insight: Combining a range of quantitative and qualitative customer insight sources, you will identify and quantify the causes of customer frustration and failure in the online channel to inform programmes of experimentation that deliver commercial impacts for our clients, validated through our data and reporting.
Experimentation: You will be familiar with the scientific method and will apply this to online AB testing and conversion rate optimisation activities to be accountable for our experimentation activities across a range of client accounts, ensuring sufficient velocity of testing, quality of thinking and scale of impact.
Team player: You will work closely with our Accounts and Technology teams to provide analytical oversight, direction, and will support project management. You will also mentor junior members of the business, supporting their development and progression.
New Business Development: You will provide data and customer insight expertise in support of our new business pipeline and will collaborate with the new business team to develop winning proposals to grow our client base.
Industry Expertise: You will have a passion for digital, stay up to date with the latest industry trends, digital technologies, and best practices. Allowing you to share insights with clients and internal teams to both drive account value and support new business activity.

The process
- Informal chat (video call) - to explore further if this role could be a good fit for you
- Face to face interview and skill test - we will ask you to complete two tasks prior to interview for presentation
- Work date - we invite all candidates to spend a half day in the business to get a better sense of what the job would actually be like, with whom you'd be working, etc. This is as much for you as it is for us. This day would be paid irrespective of if you were offered the role
- A background in mathematics or science, having achieved a 2:1 or higher class Bsc. Undergraduate degree or higher in one of these disciplines
- At least 2 years work experience post University graduation, preferably in a technical or analytical role but any experience will be considered
- Excellent communication, and presentation skills
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Confidence using Microsoft office suite and a high level of expertise in the use of Excel, confidence working in both Windows and Mac OS environments
- Availability for travel and to be in a Good Growth office at least once per week
- Familiarity with web analytics and customer insight platforms including Google Analytics (UA, GA4), Adobe Analytics, ContentSquare, Hotjar and Supermetrics however full training will be provided
- An understanding of AB testing and conversion rate optimisation best practices and familiarity with AB testing platforms; Optimizely, Google Optimize however full training will be provided
