The post-holder will support the delivery of projects across the portfolio of the South West Health and Justice Team to improve health outcomes for our population. The role will support good governance, ensuring value for money and robust decision making.
Relevant services include healthcare in prisons, sexual assault and abuse services and other healthcare services to people in touch with the criminal justice system. The post-holder will work alongside partners including other NHS bodies, the Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), Public Health and healthcare providers to support good healthcare outcomes and reductions in health inequalities.
The successful applicant will be based in the Bristol office and will be able to travel across the South West region. The postholder will be expected to work in person (in the office or on site) for at least 40% of their working time.
The Health and Justice Team has two vacancies for Project Support Officers, which are being advertised separately. It is envisaged that this role (6774443) will work across the team, including developing governance processes and working on cross-cutting projects. The role will also include specific project support to the Sexual Assault and Abuse Services commissioners in the team. The other role currently being advertised (6716092) will focus on providing support to the prison healthcare commissioners in the team. The Post Is Responsible For
Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you’ll usually need to be paid the ‘standard’ salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the ‘going rate’ for your job, whichever is higher.
