Purpose of the Role

As a Project Manager, you’ll collaborate with all Manufacturing functions, reporting to the Manufacturing Project Leader to deliver Bentley products and achieve Manufacturing aspirations which will shape our Beyond100 strategy.

This is a multi-faceted role, where you’ll be involved from project conception through to production, ensuring that new products are delivered achieving built in quality using innovation to deliver design for manufacture, collaborating across a variety of teams including, manufacturing, product, design, purchasing, sales and finance to ensure milestones are achieved.

Reporting into the Manufacturing Project Leader, your main responsibilities include;

  • Project Manager within Manufacturing ensuring programme deliverables are achieved. Including issue and risk identification and mitigation
  • Developing, influencing and delivering the strategic technical direction for Manufacturing.
  • Providing expertise in relation to product planning, process development and improvement, utilising lean manufacturing to deliver built in quality
  • Facilitating agile and effective cross functional working with key stakeholders to promote excellent communication and teamwork
  • Make recommendations and effective presentations to Senior Management, with the ability to explain/ break down technical data and propose direction
  • Financial awareness to achieve manufacturing investment, HPU and quality costs

About the Team

The Manufacturing project team, is responsible for delivering our future vehicle programmes from concept through to series production, ensuring that all safety, quality, delivery, cost and environmental targets are achieved. This is achieved through collaboration with key stakeholders within Bentley and the wider VW group. As part of a dynamic, agile manufacturing project team, you will innovate, develop and lead manufacturing activities cross functionally.

About You – Skills And Experience

  • Project Planning and Project Management experience required
  • Strong team player in a cross-functional matrix organisation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience within the Automotive, Aerospace or Defence industry would be an advantage but not essential
  • Working within Manufacturing would be an advantage but not essential
  • Able to demonstrate excellent problem solving skills
  • Experience making and influencing strategic direction
  • This is a site based role
