We are recruiting for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our manufacturing and engineering client in the Poole area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for project management, possess strong leadership abilities, and have a focus on continuous improvement. This role will involve managing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects within a manufacturing and production environment. You will be collaborating with various departments in the organisation, including engineering, production, and sales, and will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, on cost, and on quality.

Responsibilities As Project Manager

  • Manage the full project cycle from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery of NPI projects
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to coordinate project activities
  • Provide regular progress reports, KPI tracking, and status updates on project milestones
  • Lead and motivate the project team to achieve objectives and deliverables
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Utilise problem-solving skills to address project challenges
  • Occasionally visit suppliers as required
  • Utilise MRP system to manage project tasks and resources efficiently
  • Deliver excellent presentations and communication to stakeholders

Qualifications and experience as Project Manager

  • Experience in project management within a manufacturing and production environment
  • Formal qualification in project management is advantageous
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using MRP systems (advantageous)
  • Solutions-oriented with a focus on driving results
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with multiple departments within the organization

Day-to-day as Project Manager

  • Coordinating project activities with various internal departments
  • Developing and maintaining project plans and timelines
  • Communicating project status and updates to stakeholders
  • Identifying and addressing project risks and issues
  • Motivating and leading the project team to achieve project goals
