Basic Purpose of Role
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will become an integral member of the Local Business Unit (LBU) marketing function. Within this role you'll work with the LBU management team – and in conjunction with the central First Bus Marketing team – to help deliver marketing activity and the local marketing plans for the LBU.
Within this role you will be responsible for delivering end to end marketing campaigns and marketing activity across the full marketing mix, as allocated in the LBU, as well as providing general marketing & communications support to the local management team where necessary.
As our Marketing Executive you will act with integrity and role model First Bus values and behaviours (‘our way') across business units and the broader business; and through effectiveleadership and stakeholder management, you will ensure the needs of local authorities, investors, customers, partners, and colleagues are met.

Key Accountabilities
- Delivery of marketing campaigns and co-ordination of any new service launch events, for the LBU, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage the online (website, app and LBU social channels) content across the LBU's customer facing digital channels.
- Assume responsibility for all bus publicity material produced locally including timetables, on-bus material and other locally produced literature, ensuring marketing material is deployed and maintained in line with the LBU marketing plans.
- Serve as our local brand guardian by supporting a continuous audit process to ensure adherence to our guidelines and maintain consistency across the local fleet.
- Planning and delivering market research initiatives, in conjunction with central marketing teams ensuring an up-to-date insight from both user and non-user views on First Bus across the LBU.
- Manage the deployment local initiatives and campaigns to promote bus travel across the LBU.
- Provide general marketing and promotional support, sourcing and managing the inventory of promotional material for external events.
- Ensure procurement and back-office financial processes are followed in line with marketing spend.
- Other duties commensurate with the role as may be deemed appropriate by your line manager.
- Past career experience of working in a marketing function or role.
- Experience of delivering integrated marketing campaigns with a track record of delivering commercial returns.
- Experience of compiling complex media plans including knowledge of digital media channels.
- Experience of using a CMS system to deliver web content.
- Experience of designing high quality impactful marketing collateral to drive customer behaviour change
- Project management skills.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Ideally hold a relevant marketing qualification.
- Experience of working in a B2C campaign setting would be beneficial.
- Advocate of FirstGroup values and associated.
