Role

As a Laundry Assistant at Sodexo in Ellens Glen House, Edinburgh, EH16 6FF, you play a key role in the daily running of the hospital, ensuring the safe transportation of patients, as well as equipment, blood products, and gas cylinders. You can also ease some of the stress that is frequently associated with hospitalisation by engaging in professional yet friendly conversations with patients, staff, and visitors.   • Assist the in the service and delivery of Laundering System to all wards and departments.
  • Daily ensure microfibre laundry procedures are adhered to.
  • Record documentation for designated systems.
  • Monitoring of machine cleanliness to required specification standards.
  • Ensure Health & Safety and COSHH regulations are observed at all times.
  • Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff

Exceptional customer service skills: a willingness to go above and beyond

  • Stamina, this is a physically demanding role (some heavy lifting involved and pushing of laundry trollies)
  • A passion for health and safety
  • Basic knowledge of Sewing
  • Basic understanding of COSHH
