We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join the Laboratory Management Team (LMT) team. The purpose of the role is to carry out routine tasks to aid and support the smooth running of the day-to-day activities of the non -GXP laboratory including waste management, stock control, reagent prep and cleans.

We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join the Laboratory Management Team (LMT) team. The purpose of the role is to carry out routine tasks to aid and support the smooth running of the day-to-day activities of the non -GXP laboratory including waste management, stock control, reagent prep and cleans.
Your responsibilities in this role would be:
- Oversee, maintain and ensure quality of key stock consumables, media, solutions, buffers used by Scientists to ensure work activities are maintained.
- To clean and maintain the laboratory equipment and facilities according to schedule.
- Ensuring OXB laboratory waste management systems are adhered to (inc. autoclave use and waste out).
- Making sure equipment is serviced and calibrated and fit for purpose. To raise new asset request numbers / prepare asset relocation and disposal forms for laboratory equipment, chaperone engineers.
- Documentation maintained- populated, QC checked and appropriately filed in accordance with local rules.
- Excellent communication liaising with teams/departments and external.
- To assist in maintaining the health and safety compliance as applicable.
- Educated to a Diploma level in a science subject or equivalent but a minimum educated to GCSE A level (in a science subject) or equivalent qualification level or experience gained within a similar work place and position
- Previous aseptic technique experience (preferred)
- Experience in working in laboratory
- Computer skills essential with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
