The Opportunity

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (formerly Alere) is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies. Our in-vitro Diagnostic Assay manufacturing site in Dundee has an exciting opportunity for a Labelling Officer to join the Dundee Labelling department and contribute to our mission of safely ensuring the on-time delivery of production labels which conforms to current best practices and Quality standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for inspection of new labelling matter (new label design, IFUs and artwork)
  • Complete quality documentation as per GMP requirements
  • Be able to operate Labelling Equipment
  • Actively seek out and contribute to continuous improvements activities
  • Accurately control labelling stock
  • Maintenance and monitoring of labelling equipment (i.e. Printers / cameras), to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with the Abbott Dundee Health & Safety culture

Working hours: Monday-Friday shift pattern (2 weeks early shift/2 weeks late shift)

Required Qualifications / Profile

  • Knowledge of Labelling programs and associated software ensuring version control
  • Knowledge of GMP Processes and procedures
  • Nat 4 or equivalent in English, maths or equivalent experience to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills
  • Experienced in set up and maintenance of labelling equipment
  • Knowledge of fault finding on various types of equipment
  • Experience in using ERP system for labelling stock controls
  • Driven and committed to meet customer performance and delivery
  • An ability to communicate effectively to a wide audience and accept and follow up on the views and opinions of others
  • Attention to detail
