Position Summary

This role involves developing and maintaining IT applications across a range of technologies, including .NET Framework, .NET 7+ Web APIs, React, and PowerApps, among others.

Key Responsibilities

• New Application Development: Build new applications from initial requirements gathering to deployment and user rollout.
• Maintenance: Maintain and enhance existing applications using .NET Framework, .NET 8 Web APIs, and React.
• Power Platform: Implement and optimize business processes using PowerApps, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI for reporting and dashboards.
• SQL Reports: Design and build SQL-based reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

• Frontend: React, JavaScript.
• Backend: .NET Framework (MVC, C#), .NET 7+, Web APIs.
• Data & Reporting: SQL, SSRS, Power BI.
• Automation & Apps: PowerApps, Power Automate.
  
  

The role requires strong technical skills in software development, API integration, business process automation, and reporting, with a focus on full-stack development and continuous maintenance.

Key Duties

• Create innovative applications and provide ongoing maintenance and support for current in-house applications, systems and databases.
• Participate at all levels of the development cycle and take ownership where necessary.
• Troubleshoot, support and resolve issues.
• Handle testing procedures and deliver end user training where required.
• Research and keep up to date with Microsoft technologies, with particular focus on the Power Platform.
• Mentor the IT Applications Placement Student.
  
  

Requirements For Consideration

• A degree in Computer Science (min 2:1), or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Minimum 2-4 years of proven experience as a web developer (or similar role) delivering responsive and dynamic websites or web applications.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Product Managers, Commercial Sales, Purchasing, Finance).
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating high quality, maintainable code.
• Time management skills and the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivation with the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver results independently.
• Creative Thinking. Innovation in solving challenges and approaching complex problems.
