Are you a proven leader in property maintenance with experience managing both public and private sector projects? Do you have the expertise to lead large teams, ensure full compliance, and deliver outstanding services?

We’re on the hunt for a Head of Maintenance Services to take charge and drive excellence across the board! If you're ready to make an impact and bring your skills to a thriving organisation, this is your chance.

In This Role You Will

  • Lead the delivery of first-class property maintenance services, including responsive repairs, void works, compliance, and security services for a wide range of clients.
  • Implement and manage compliance maintenance services, including fixed wire testing and gas servicing, ensuring 100% compliance and safety for all customers.
  • Ensure that maintenance services are delivered within set budgets and timelines, meeting KPIs and achieving profit margins.
  • Oversee health and safety compliance across all operations, ensuring policies are implemented to protect employees and customers.
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports on contract performance, ensuring all targets are met or exceeded.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by delivering a high-quality service and ensuring continuous improvement through customer feedback.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a large team of trade and multi-trade operatives, ensuring efficient performance aligned with business objectives.

You will have in-depth knowledge of health and safety practices, particularly within social housing and the general construction industry. Extensive experience managing large teams and delivering M&E works, including planned and reactive maintenance, is essential. The role requires strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and supervise trade and multi-trade operatives, while also influencing stakeholders and producing accurate technical information. You will be resilient and adaptable, thriving under pressure with excellent project planning and organisational abilities. A successful track record of working with multiple clients and managing various accounts is necessary, along with a customer-focused approach that ensures the delivery of exceptional service and quality outcomes.

You must have or be prepared to work towards a recognised housing qualification of level 4 or above (Chartered Institute of Housing or equivalent qualification).
