Financial Controller

Location: Burton Upon Trent Position: Financial Controller – Technology Full-Time (Permanent)** Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote Our client, are looking for a Financial Controller Financial to Produce monthly data on revenue and costs associated with internal software development, ensuring timely reviews and submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide management accounts and technical accounting for the technology segment.
• Collaborate with the business to ensure performance drivers are understood and support decision-making.
• Build relationships with internal software development teams, offering analysis and insights to support business decisions.
• Deliver monthly reporting and commentary for the technology segment, including contributions to Management packs.
• Line manage and develop the Fixed Asset and Service Financial Analysts.
• Oversee project setup and lifecycle management to ensure correct accounting under US GAAP and local statutory reporting.
• Ensure the integrity of financial figures, completing balance sheet reconciliations and providing audit and SOX compliance information.
• Work with the wider finance team to drive efficiencies and ensure effective communication across departments.
  
  

Key Essential

• Qualified Accountant with 3-10 years of post-qualification experience in management accounting.
• good understanding of fixed assets, and software capitalisation
• Strong communication skills to tackle technical accounting queries and delegate effectively.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 is a plus).
