We are currently seeking a Cleaner to join our team at Sodexo in Royal Stoke Hospital, Staffordshire, ST4 6QG. As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment at our hospital. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, a strong work ethic, and excellent organisational skills. What You’ll Do
- Maintain patient safety by keeping their rooms, wards, communal areas, restrooms, and other hospital areas clean.
- Strip and clean beds and collect linen
- Clean desks, ceilings and vents, walls, blinds, and other surfaces to create a sterile, safe environment.
- Dust, mop, vacuum, sweep, polish floors, and replenish supplies
- Emptying bins and waste containers
- Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Ability to perform physical aspects of the job
- Exceptional customer service skills: a willingness to go above and beyond
- A passion for health and safety
- Personal and professional integrity, appearance, and demeanour
